The expression "Gild the Lily" means to try and improve something already beautiful. The lily doesn't need to be dipped in gold to be noticed for its charm.
When I heard this expression, I thought of you. You are stunning, and wonderful and amazing. You don't need the jewelry I create to be seen, but yet you still want my creations. And for that I am eternally grateful.
Thank you for allowing me the space to create and explore as I navigate life. This collection is for you. I am putting my all into these creations as a sign of gratitude to you!
